My Dad worked with me to keep my horses going straight after backshots. Not only for all of the excellent reasons you mentioned above but also he believed it was important for me to &quot;ride&quot; my horse. They should turn when I &quot;ask&quot; them to, NOT out of bad habit! Horsemanship first and always. Also, I was riding his horses and he didn&#039;t want me to &quot;teach&quot; them the habit of automatically turning on the shot. Hey, and if you miss your shot (oops!), now you&#039;re going in the wrong direction!
Thanks Tom. And thanks for the nice memory of my Dad this morning.</description>
